Winter Swimmers Qualify for JX Awards
Each year Swimming Australia recognise the achievments of Australia's junior swimmers through a scheme known as the JX Awards. Swimmers must achieve certain time standards at official qualifying meets to receive an award at the end of the season. The following Lakes swimmers have met the JX standards for the 2007/8 season during the winter carnivals held so far this year. Lake's Swimming Club management committee appoints a Club Captain for the Swim Season. One of their main roles is to welcome new members into the club, provide advice, encouragement and support to all Club members and to act as role models for the younger members. Members also elect two Club Leaders to assist the Club Captain.
