Lakes Squad Coaches Upgrade Skills
One of the unique benefits of being a member of Lakes Swim Club is the fact that swimmers are able to train with a coach of their own choosing. The most popular squads in the club are coached by Caroline Somers, Ken Glass and Trevor Kulick. They all attended the ASCTA National Coaching Conference on the Gold Coast last week, an 8 day seminar providing opportunities for coaches from all over Qld to exchange ideas, upgrade coaching licences and meet with their national and international level colleagues to learn the latest in coaching methods and stroke techniques. Australia's Head Swimming Coach, Alan Thompson was among the presenters. Swimmers times will improve dramatically over time with the assistance of a coach. Even world record holders rely on their guidance. Check the website for details of squad sessions involving the Lakes Club swim team, times and venues.
