Lakes Swim Team achieved some outstanding results during the 2006/7 swimming season setting numerous PB times, pool and club records at club nights and carnivals. Over 100 people attended the presentation night to see swimmers receive their trophies.
Note that the Lakes Club closing date maybe 1-2 weeks prior to the date on the entry information. To enter an event send your details to race@lakesswimmingclub.org.au
The calendar is updated regularly so it is a good idea to check it often for changes.

World Championship Trials for Lake's Kayla Clarke
The Telstra Grand Prix I is coming to the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Chandler on 18-20 May and will feature many of the top Australian swimmers in action. Australian team selection trials are also being held at this meet for the INAS FID World Championships. Lakes Swimming club's own Kayla Clarke will be attempting to gain selection for the 50m and 100m Freestyle events....Good Luck Kayla! Free admission for spectators ... more info
Lakes Club Membership Renewals
All memberships of the Lakes Swimming Inc are due for renewal on July 1. Application forms, fee information etc will be forwarded to existing members in the next few weeks. It was decided at the AGM that club membership fees would remain the same for the 2007/8 season. more info...
Lakes Win Australian JX Awards
Kristin Taylor and Zac Welfare headed a list of sixteen Lakes Club swimmers who qualified for an award in the 2006/7 Australian Junior Excellence Program (JX).

Kayla Heads for Hobart Nationals
Lakes member Kayla Clarke has qualified for the 2007 Queensland Team to compete in the School Sport Australia Swimming Championships in Hobart from 8th - 12th August.
