Lakes Club Wins Silver Go Club PB Award
GO Club PB is a national swimming club standard established to recognise and reward swimming clubs by measuring their preformance across five key areas:

Beth 
Wins Corinda Gift
Lakes Swim Club member Beth Arnold cleaned up at the recent Corinda State School swimming carnival winning her races in all four strokes earning her the title of 10yrs Age Champion in the process. She also won the prestigious Corinda Gift, awarded to the fastest girl swimmer over all age groups at the school.

35 PBs at Jimboomba
Lakes Swim Team finished of the year well at the Jimboomba Restricted Short Course meet on 9th December, the 23 strong team achieving a total of 35 personal best times and also taking home a swag of medals. Kirsten Veeren chopped an amazing 21.81 seconds off her PB in the 12yrs 100 Individual Medley event and Chloe Glass swam 10.46 seconds faster than her previous best time in the 11yrs 100 IM. Starts & Turns Training Session
All Lakes Swim Club members are invited to attend a training session aimed at improving your starts and turns in the pool. Lakes head coach Ken Glass will be conducting the session at the Forest Lake Aquatic Centre on Tuesday 9th January 2007 starting at 6pm. The cost is just $3.50 to cover pool entry fees. Bianca and Zac at Qld State Champs
Thirteen year old Bianca Ward and 11 year old Zac Welfare will represent the Lakes Club in the 2006 Zoggs Queensland Age & Open Championships at Chandler this week. Bianca qualified for a start in the 100m Back and 100m Free events and Zac the 100m Fly and 100m Free. Events start on Thursday 14th and finish on Tuesday 19th December with heats starting each day at 9am and finals for the heats from 6pm. View programme.

January 2007 Carnivals Closing Soon
Swimmers are advised that the Lakes Club closing date for entries into carnivals listed in January 2007 will close with the race secretary at the club night on 15th December.

Huge Entry for Jimboomba
Lakes Swim team will have 23 swimmers at the Jimboomba Short Course carnival on 9th December. This is one of the biggest teams the 3 yr old Lakes Swim Club has entered with competitors making 106 individual swims on the day. View entry list
